Our Story
Who We Are:
James and Kimberly, the founders of our charitable foundation, are loving individuals driven by a shared vision to spread kindness and uplift lives. James, a dedicated professional, has always been the first to lend a helping hand despite his busy schedule, while Kimberly, with her rich life experiences, understands the importance of helping those who cannot help themselves. Together, they form a powerful duo committed to making the world a better place.
What We Believe In:
The Behmke Foundation is built on core beliefs of helping those who can't help themselves, championing people in need, and responding to current issues. We are especially passionate about children, who often find themselves in situations they cannot escape. These values align seamlessly with James and Kimberly's personal philosophies of creating a happier, kinder world and uplifting as many lives as possible.
Why We Started the Foundation:
James and Kimberly's personal journeys have been the cornerstone of their philanthropic endeavors. James had a nurturing upbringing and wished to share that warmth with the world, spurred on by a relationship that underscored the value of kindness. Kimberly, having witnessed both the good and the bad, believes that people in darkness need a beacon of hope. Inspired by these experiences, they started the foundation to spread kindness and provide support where it's needed most.
What's Important to Us:
Our foundation is driven by the "3-C Core Initiatives": championing those who can't help themselves, focusing on children, and addressing current needs. James and Kimberly’s motivations are deeply personal. James' mother, a school teacher, often said, "If you want to change the world, start with the children." Kimberly, known for her strength and kindness, embodies the foundation's spirit of compassion and resilience.
Our Goals and Objectives:
In the short term, we aim to get the foundation up and running with traction from our biannual epic events — one in summer and one in winter. We want to build awareness among friends, family, and a network of like-minded givers. Long term, we aspire to host must-attend events that raise significant funds for charity, garner celebrity support, and attract local media attention. We aim to become a household name synonymous with impactful charitable work.
Challenges and Triumphs:
Balancing a busy family life with five kids and demanding schedules has been a challenge. Despite these hurdles, James and Kimberly remain committed to their philanthropic mission. While currently in the early stages of the foundation, James and Kimberly have a history of donating their own time and money to various charities, reflecting the Behmke’s longstanding commitment to giving back.
Our Future Vision:
In the next five to ten years, we envision our foundation growing into a series of highly anticipated events that are unique and memorable. We want these events to be so spectacular that people will pay any price to attend, knowing their contributions make a real difference. We aim for our foundation to be a beacon of hope, where the entertainment, stars, and venues are eager to support our causes, making a significant impact in the world.
Personal Touch:
With five children, James and Kimberly are deeply committed to leaving the world a better place for future generations. They strive to instill values of kindness, appreciation, and gratitude in their children and through their foundation. They believe in having fun, enjoying life, and ensuring others can do the same, whether by attending our events or benefiting from the proceeds.

Chairman and President
Kimberly Behmke
Kim serves as the Chairman and President of the Behmke Foundation, a role in which she passionately drives our mission: believing everyone has an obligation to lift up their society and spread kindness. As a mother of five, Kim's love for animals, children, and helping those in need permeates her work. Under her leadership, our Foundation makes it easier and more exciting for people to assist in restoring faith in humanity and elevating the world's vibrations and spirit.
Kim’s mastery of social events and her extensive experience in organizing charity walks and drives amplify our message and reach. Recognized as an "angel" by Toys for Tots, she has donated countless hours and resources to various causes, ensuring our epic events are unforgettable for both their experience and impact.
Our foundation’s "3-C Core Initiatives" — Championing, Children, and Current Needs — reflect Kim’s dedication to championing vital causes, empowering children, and swiftly addressing evolving community needs. Through these pillars, Kim fosters a world where compassion leads to action and action leads to meaningful change.

James serves as the Vice President and Legal Officer for the Behmke Foundation, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our leadership team. As an accomplished attorney, entrepreneur, investor, and film producer, James combines his diverse skill set to ensure our foundation operates with the highest level of integrity and efficiency. His legal acumen is instrumental in navigating the complexities of charitable work, while his entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mindset drive our mission forward.
